Composite Slabs (Non-permanent formwork composite slabs) are among the most widely used flooring systems in steel structures. However, traditional methods — including formwork, shoring, rebar installation, shear connector placement, and on-site concreting — often result in prolonged construction schedules and increased project costs.

Additionally, performing these operations manually under uncontrolled site conditions can lead to numerous technical and execution challenges.

In recent years, various alternative products have been developed to address some of these issues; however, most solutions have either tackled only a limited number of problems or deviated significantly from the conventional composite slab structure.

Driven by a commitment to solving these challenges while maintaining the core properties and advantages of traditional composite slabs, Vandidad Company has developed the VanDeck Panelized Slab System.

As shown below, the VanDeck system is composed of Structural Ultra-lightweight Nano Concrete integrated with steel channels.

Manufactured in a controlled factory environment under expert supervision, these prefabricated panels dramatically accelerate installation, reduce project costs, and eliminate the technical and execution issues typically associated with conventional composite slabs.

“Certified by the Building and Housing Research Center (BHRC), the VanDeck slab system meets all technical requirements, with its full specifications and approved applications outlined in the BHRC Technical Report.”
